Part AThe uniqueness of an online business is that; the factors that determine its level success are entirely different from those that affect regular businesses. To start with, the type of business and its market target play an essential role differentiating a profitable and non-profitable online business. For example, an online business that targets the youths as its primary market is likely to be successful. This is attributed to the fact that the online communities created by the youths offer a large market to the business. The level of technology adopted by an online business determines the amount of profit it will achieve. The online business requires a lot of advertising through the established social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and the websites (Kenneth, & Guercio, 2017). With advanced technology, an online business can advertise at low cost, and it will have to overcharge its customers. It will attract more customers and maintain competitiveness in the market.Part BThe Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) was enforced in 1998 to tackle the emerging challenges of controlling digital media. The agency was created with the aim of revising the operating copyright laws. The updated regulations were to meet the criteria of with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) copyright treaty. The new information communication technology threatened the copyrights of many digital materials and the US government had to strengthen the legal protection of intellectual property rights. Publishers, scientists, civil rights groups and other participants came up with DMCA to strictly interrupt, define and revise the copyright laws. The DMCA outlaws many ethical and necessary activities that seem to threaten the copyrights of digital materials. For example, DMCA illegalized security-related tasks such as the reverse engineering software, encryption research, and circumventing security systems (Kenneth, & Guercio, 2017). Many industries, consumers and civil rights groups appreciate that since the establishment of DMCA pirating cases have significantly reduced. Revisions of DMCA adds fundamental concepts to improve its efforts such as the intent to defraud.ReferencesKenneth, C. L., & Guercio, C. (2017). E-commerce: Business. Technology. Society.
